Cheese Cheese Cheese, Oh How I Savor Thee
Today is Tuesday October 11,2005. I am wearing a Hawaiian type dark blue shirt with white leaves on it. I am wearing light jeans and those slip on shoes. I am currently sitting in my cube typing away. I had V8 juice for breakfast and just ate one sunflower seed. I find it odd how I am able to eat sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, shell and all. It is odd because I hate nuts. Now that I think about it nuts are basically seeds. I think the reason I hate nuts is because as a child I never figured out that you were supposed to eat the nut inside the shell. If you have ever consumed a peanut shell you know it is like eating bark. I also think that I don't like beans because at daycare we were forced to eat those things. Franks and beans was on the menu every day. I figured out how to pick the franks outta the beans. That was probably why I was so skinny as a child. Speaking of losing weight. I am still on my No Cheese, No Desserts diet. It is working so far. My BP is 142/82. I miss cheese though. Getting plain hamburgers for lunch is a little bland. I am wondering what a meat lovers pizza will taste like without the cheese. I guess I'll find out. I will probably go off this diet on the trip. I hear fried cheese is a delicacy in Prague. Speaking of fried cheese, if anyone is in Lubbock get me a plate of the famous fried cheese from Spanky's and send them my way. Well, back to work, not much to say today.
Thought of the Day
"I was free and clear. I was living the dream. I was stripped to the waist eating a block of cheese the size of a car battery."
"Before we go any further, I'd just like to point out how disturbing it is that you equate eating a block of cheese with some sort of bachelor paradise."
- George and Jerry, in "The Foundation"

My kids freakout ebry year when we get to the powerpoint that teaches them that when they eat things like peanuts and fruit that they are really eating a plants Ripened Ovary.
My team leader was in Lubbock just last weekend and went to Spankeys for the first time ever. I was so jeolous as I know exactly what you mean about their cheese sticks - to die for.... When we were younger and a little less wise, we would have made a road trip out there just for such a thing.
As for the burgers without cheese, I dont know how you can do it. To change a quote from Dracula, "cheese is the life, cheese is the life!"
Have a good day guys.

It sounds like it's Hawaiian shirt day at Innotech. Has the no cheese/dessert diet resulted in any weight loss? Last night at dinner, I had a tuna fish sandwich and a pickle. By 8:30 I was starving, so, don't feel alone.
I had Spanky's cheese sticks last thanksgiving and they weren't that good. Maybe it was just an off day. They were big, but didn't have much taste to them. I'm sure I'll be in Lubbock over the upcoming Holidays at some point, so start saving up for your orders. When we were there, we ate on the upstairs patio. As I looked around, I noticed that everything looked exactly the same as when I used to visit you guys out there. Some things never change.

I miss Spanky's cheese sticks as well. I remember Mr. T and I would get those for our meal while Brian would get them and a big burger with more cheese for dinner. Ah the good ol' days....
On another topic, Brian is you company hiring anybody (or could you get my resume in there?) and Jason is Honda hiring? My company is on the verge of layoffs, I hear from my unofficial source (Dad) that they are going to start letting people go next week or the week after. He told me that my name was not mentioned, but that I should start looking for a new job.
My weekend sucked as the Mrs. and I packed all of Saturday and then then Mrs. got sick Sunday and has been miserable since then and now my apt is like a jungle safari. I went home for lunch today and started sweating in my apt after only being there for 5 minutes. Odds are bad for me making Thursday because of this so if I don't make it I hope you have a good trip Brian.
