How Long Will The Box Sit There?
I now have a new project sitting in my dining room. For the past year
whenever it is summer or winter my garage door seems to get stuck at
various levels of its journey towards the bottom. I finally got fed up
one day and purchased a new garage door opening system on Amazon. I am
by no means a handyman so this should be interesting. I know first of
all I will have to disconnect the existing garage door opener, then I
will have to connect the new one. I think my biggest problem will be
holding the opener steady as I nail it to the ceiling. This might be a
two person job. I did build a cool filing cabinet last year. Then about
5 years ago I built a stationary bike. That is about how far my
handymandidness goes. I can just see me getting the thing installed and
then having the same stuff happen and realizing it was the garage door
and not the opener. For now though the box will sit in my dining room
until I have the time to fix it. I figure that will be about 3 weeks.
Maybe I will study up on garage doors and become an expert, yeah that's
the ticket. Did I just date myself?
Thought of the Day
"What's the difference? We'll all be dead eventually."
"Does that bother you?"
"Yeah, it bothers me. Doesn't it bother you?"
"Not at all."
"You see, now that bothers me even more than dying bothers me, because
it's people like you who live to be 120 because you're not bothered by
it. How can it not bother you?"
"Well, I once saw this thing on TV with people who are terminally ill.
Everyone of them believed that the secret of life is just to live every
moment."
"Yeah, I've heard that. Meanwhile, I'm here with you in a parking garage
in Jersey."

What happened to yesterdays post? It's not even on the site anymore.
