Fried Turkey Surprise
This Thanksgiving was OK. I went to Missouri and drove my mom up there.
We stayed with my sister's husband's family. It was a huge Thanksgiving
with 23 people attending. I kind of felt like an outsider cause I only
knew my close family. I also was missing Holly big time. But,
nevertheless, I enjoyed the turkey and watching the Cowboys win. It also
was good to see my nephew and niece. I will post the pictures later on
in the week. This was the first Thanksgiving I had "fried" turkey. I had
never even heard of it before and Holly mentioned it and then we had it
for the meal. There were 2 regular turkeys and one fried. The fried one
was just different cause it was moist on the inside and crunchy on the
outside. The drive up was 8 hours and made me road hypnotized. That was
interesting as I got used to changing lanes because of all of the
traffic. If it wasn't for all the traffic I probably would have fallen
asleep. No major incidences occurred. It was a typical Thanksgiving. On
Sunday I went and visited my step-brother and took Holly. That was fun
cause everyone was excited to see us, which is different from when you
visit with people you really don't know. Anyways, I am glad to be back
and now have a month of being super-duper busy. How was your
Thanksgiving?
