Happy Halloween!

Everyone be safe tonight. Holly is helping out with our Fall Festival
or "Six Flags over Baptidome" as I call it. I am going to help too.
Hopefully I won't have any kids kick me in the bounce house like 2
years ago...

Exercise in the Shower

Yesterday I was talking about my treadmill in the shower invention.
Basically I would build it by tieing two long shower mats together and
put it on a roller system. Then while you are taking a shower you can
also get exercise. Maybe put padding on the walls in case you slip.
But this morning I realized something while I was in the shower- I do
an awful lot of turning around. So I don't thin a treadmill is the
answer. Maybe a twisty thing though. Something that you strap your
feet in that is on ball bearings. You would then have to twist alot to
get exercise. Hmm, more tests...

Melting, What a Whirl

Well, last week was just filled with car problems. It seems like
October has become the month of Brian by accident. Usually every year
there is one month where I like to get
Big purcases. This year it was October not by design. It started off
with the $5000 air conditioning fiasco. Then last Monday it was the
$3000 transmission fiasco and now Friday's Fiasco. It started off a
good day by ne taking the afternoon off to go to a wedding rehersal as
I was a groomsman and Holly was a bridesmaid. It was all the way near
Crowley, an hour away. At the end of the rehersal Holly drove behind
me as we were going to the rehersal dinner. It turned out that her car
started overheating real bad and we pulled over to China Go Gos and
her car had steam coming out of the hood. I opened it up and saw the
radiator ad melted. So I said ,"That's it!" and away we went to get a
new car, missing the rehersal dinner. We got a new 2008 Honda Pilot.
It is pretty cool , but it can be added to the month of Brian. The
wedding was good one and the reception was fun. It was at Bass Hall ok
Ft. Worth. Everyone always asks me if there is a relation. On Sunday
we went Six Flags and hung out with my brother and his family. It was
a good weekend despite the down payment and hassle.

Disjointed Thoughts

Give to your local dealership

This weekends highlights include seeing A Nightmare Before Christmas
in 3-D, it was ok - a little too dramatic for my tastes. Then on
Saturday it was a friends bachelor party at the bowling alley. Then
Sunday when all was right with the world my car decides to act funny
and not go when I put my foot on the gas. So now it is in the shop
getting a new transmission and new front brakes. Yup it is a pretty
penny. Tie that in with buying a whole new air conditioner for the
house last month and it can be easily said that we are in a financial
trial. But alas that is life. If I am to take my own advice I must
count this as joy. So in perspective the people who are working on my
car need money to feed their families so it is like a charity. The
people who worked on my air conditioner needed clothes from Armani...
Yeah, it is all about economics they need from me so I give. Who would
have thought it would have been in this way?

Seinfeld for Halloween

Holly noticed in my messages that there are moments when I sound like
Seinfeld. I guess I have watched too many episodes. Could I BE anymore
like him? Hmm maybe for Halloween. It is unique idea. Dye my hair
brown and make it stand up, get a button up with a sweater vest, and
maybe a superman medallion and mic to show who I am trying to be. The
question IS, would I be able to PULL it off?

TTD

I have had a TTD( things to do) list for the past 2 years. I don't
think I will ever get past that. There is always something to do. I
worked on ridesearch last night and this morning. I am hopefully going
to release the alpha test by Christmas. Yeah, I know I said that last
year, but this time I am really close. An alpha test will be where I
invite my friends, their friends and family to get on the site and see
if it works. Then, hopefully if all goes well, in January, I will
start releasing it to the world in a city-wide beta test. It is kind
of scary and fun at the same time... We shall see... I am thinking
about cutting off all my evening activities to get this done and off
my TTD list.

Somethin in the Water

Well, it looks like Texas Tech is ranked 22 now so I can breathe a sigh of relief. My beloved Cowboys decided to not play defense and they los..... won in a decided victory... yeah that's the ticket. Anyways this weekend was wedding number 6 of the year. Holly was in this one as well. She read "Words of Wisdom" for at the country club in southlake. I think Tiger Woods has played there. Anyways, I missed the wedding cause I thought it was at 7pm instead of 6pm. Luckily Holly went there before me and luckily I went to the reception and had good cake and we danced. At some point you basically decide to pretend to dance and have fun. Weddin number 7 happens in 2 weeks. There must be something in the water... Anyways, on Sunday we did Church and the Homeless. This time I cleaned out about half of my closet as we did clothes. I needed to make space for Holly's stuff. I gave away shirts that I hadn't worn since the early 90s. I think I can officially be called a pack rat. Anyways, I did the message and talked about trials and people seemed to be responsive. I think I am getting better at delivering it. So here it is:

Tech

So Texas Tech has the number 1 offense in the NCAA and the number 1
quarterback. Why aren't they ranked?

2 months down 50 years to go

Wow, Holly and I have been married now for two months. So much has
gone on since then it has been crazy. Honeymoon, work, school,
development, car issues, air conditioner issues, sleep issues, Sunday
school, fall festival and dieting issues. Gee whiz, what is left?
Holly wonders if it is always going to be this hectic. My guess is yes
until we turn 60 and no longer have to work. But I am so glad I am
with her. She makes things easier. I think we have a strong marriage,
but that is easy to say 2 months in. Last night I finally had the time
to clean my closet so she can move in to it. She has been keeping her
stuff in the guest bedroom closet. Who knows when she'll have time to
move in? Probably around Thanksgiving... Anyways here's to the next 50
years. Smooch.

Nare vs Nair

>

> So I've learned a new word this week: Nare. And it is not the Nair

Life

I am busy as usual. Yesterday they finally fixed my air conditioner at
home. They had to replace the inside unit as well. $5100 total. It now
feels cool in the house. Just in time for winter...

Sticky

Well I have been super busy at work. It is kinda cool and stressful
knowing what I suggest could affect 1 million taxpayers a year. In
other news my air conditioner still doesn't work right... Even after
they fixed it. I am sure they are going to try to stick me with a
whole new unit at probably 8 grand. What fun!

Diet vs Exercise

So now that I am married I haven't been sticking to anything - diet or
exercise. So I think what I will do will decide just one of those to
stick to. Exercise is good because I can still eat what I like. The
pros are definitely in the health benefits. The problem is that
losing weight is not really one of those benifits. The real health
benifit to exercise is better circulation and an increase in muscle
mass and heart health. The cons of exercise is the time spent - at
least 5 hours a week to be good and the fact that exercise is work and
not fun. Those are biggies and are reasons why most people don't
exercise. Now diet, that does not take any more of your time, although
it is not fun as well. Most studies say you can lose 2 to 3 times more
with dieting than exercise. Another con of dieting is lack of energy.
When you are starving your mood is affected and even your heart can be
affected. I suppose that is why both are recommended. But I think to
start off I need to choose just one. What should it be?

Is the heat on?

Well this past weekend my air conditioner at the house decided to stop
working. It was an ordeal. Instead of going to Peeteys like I did
before we decided to tough it out. So Sunday night as Holly slept in
90 degree weather I went walmart and got 2 "cool" fans. Basically the
things are a bucket with a fan attached to it. What you do is fill it
up with ice and it blows cold air on you. That is pretty clever. So I
bulpight one for each side of the bed and was going to surprise Holly
by saving the day. So I stumble into the bedroom and plug this thing
in. I turn it on and it starts spitting water in "mist" position so I
turn it to "fan only" and a little trickle of cool air coms out. Then
I go to my side of the bed and turn the other one on. Nothing happens.
So I turn on "mist" and hear very loudly " whirrrr crunch crunch spit"
overamd over again. The fan was broken but the mister worked. I
figured it must've woke Holly up, but it was funny. I slept
Maybe 4 hours that night knowing I was going to take off the next day
and get a 2500 air conditioner. What fun...

Bass - Kazeminia : Weddings : Times Record News

Below is the announcement of our wedding in the Wichita Falls Times Record News. Note: They made a mistake by saying I also had a MBA - I didn't and I didn't put that in the questionaire... But, I probably won't write in for a correction ;-)
