Diet vs Exercise

So now that I am married I haven't been sticking to anything - diet or
exercise. So I think what I will do will decide just one of those to
stick to. Exercise is good because I can still eat what I like. The
pros are definitely in the health benefits. The problem is that
losing weight is not really one of those benifits. The real health
benifit to exercise is better circulation and an increase in muscle
mass and heart health. The cons of exercise is the time spent - at
least 5 hours a week to be good and the fact that exercise is work and
not fun. Those are biggies and are reasons why most people don't
exercise. Now diet, that does not take any more of your time, although
it is not fun as well. Most studies say you can lose 2 to 3 times more
with dieting than exercise. Another con of dieting is lack of energy.
When you are starving your mood is affected and even your heart can be
affected. I suppose that is why both are recommended. But I think to
start off I need to choose just one. What should it be?

Comments:
I lost 25 pounds by simply changing my diet. I did not have less energy either. In fact, I had more energy. It all depends upon the type of diet you do. If you mix the right foods together you can lose the weight. After I lost the weight, I started an exercise program to maintain the weight loss.
