Alrighty Then. I'm Back
Well, my blog has had some ups and downs and now it should be one continous up, 99.99% of the time. I am back on BrianAldenBass.com or BrianBass.net. Whatever you prefer. The great thing is I don't have to worry about the power going out or some other server problem. I have pretty much been working 15 hour days - 10 at work and 5 at home. I am definitely going to need a vacation at the end of the year, but it is going to be worth it. This is something I really believe in, so I must finish my site.
In other news I went to the Docs last Friday for a checkup. The doc looked at me and looked at my chart and said "you've gained 15 pounds since you've been married." I am like, wow. So I am back on the ole health kick. This time I am going to my core psychological roots of my eating habits, primarily lack of self control with food and a hatred of exercise. I haven't even chosen a "diet" I am just eating less and am trying to get some exercise in when I can. We are going back to our personal trainer and I got a pedal machine for the chair in the living room while I code. I don't even want to think of this as a kick or a diet or a new fad. It is just an attitude I am trying to put on of being healthy. We shall see. So what is up with all my friends?

Here is what I wrote on 11-06-07, which nobody got to see do to the server issue.
Our weekend went OK. We went to my mom and dads on Friday night. Then, we drove to Lubbock on Saturday. The wifes dad got married at 7am on Sunday morning, in a sunrise wedding. That was my first (and hopefully last) early morning wedding. We drove back to WF on Sunday night and stay with my folks again. The wife and I went to the movies and saw "30 days of night." It was pretty good. We drove back to Dallas on Monday.
Well, per reading this blog, I guess I won't be seeing most of you for a while. Everybody take care. Benz, maybe we can do the Chuck E Cheese play date for the kids/wives/ and us. Chuck E Cheese serves beer, don't they????
If ridesearch man keeps up his blog, I'll chime in and keep everybody up to date on my areas of expertise....whatever those may be....Beatles/Smallville/Star Wars.
I'll miss you guys.

Since then, I've been working a lot. Nothing major really comes to mind. On the TV front, if the writers strike isn't resolved, our shows will have very short seasons. Smallville will end the season with 15 episodes if nothing is resolved. There is a new episode this week, buit then several weeks of reruns. I believe there is a new one in December.
Josh called me Monday night and invited me to a nearby pub for drinks. I hadn't seen him since June, so I gladly went (especially since Mr. Risesearch is trying to kill guys night). Josh is doing well and was in town to do some work on his Frisco home that he's trying to sell. He asked about everyone and says "Hi".
Well, since this is Wednesday, and nothing is happening tonight, I guess I'll work extra overtime....nothing else to do. Hope everyone is doing well.
