Update
this blog anymore. Life is hectic. RideSearch is growing fast. I am
getting advertisements. Right now RideSearch is getting press in
Colorado. I am probably going to set up a booth in Los Angeles on
Earth Day. I have joined the Carrollton Chamber of Commerce and am a
sponsor of the policeman vs firefighter softball game. I am going to a
mayors forum tomorrow for the mayor of Carrollton, Farmer's Branch and
Addison and will hopefully get a chance to speak with them. Besides
that I am still working on the iPhone site and when I am finished will
send out a press release. This weekend was good. I took Holly out on
Friday to see "Be Kind Rewind". I'd give it a 2 out of 5. It would
have been more had there not been a shisking scene. We went out with
friends on Saturday. How was your weekend?

RideSearch Update
happy at getting 20 hits a day. Then each week it escalated and now it
is up to 40-80 hits a day. It is interesting how it is catching on. I
get 2 questions asked by everyone.
1. Are people carpooling?
The answer is maybe. I will send an email out to the subscribers and
ask for stories when I get time.
2. How do you make money?
I make money by ads. It is not much at the start but with more and
more people visiting the higher the potential revenue. Top sites can
$200,000 to $300,000 in ad revenue. It is just going to take time.
There are also a couple of press releases I am going to release in the
following month. One of them is the immenent iPhone release. I might
get on the news again. I am actually starting to go after talk shows.
If I can get on Oprah I am set.

New Car
went out and got a new Altima. It is pretty cool and I like the new
technology in it. It is a carpooling car as well.

Wait for the New 80s
60s. I seem to remember growing up in the 80s how styles from the 50s
were the fad - like leather jackets, crew cuts and various throwback
clothes. Then the 90s came and people started wearing mop tops and
grunge was seen as a throwback to the 60s. Even the Beatles came out
with a new album. I used to think how the 90s music was bad, but now
that I think about it, it was almost as cool as the 60s. Now we are in
the 00s it is obvious that the 70s style is in fad. The haircuts are
huge and the music and times are almost as bad as the 70s. With
today's pop being equal to the disco of the 70s. So we all can see
what is coming next decade - the 80s fad. That is going to be so cool.
The guitar heroes of today will become the shredders of the 10s. Neon
will come back. So will long hair and mullets. I suppose I should find
my old Jams and dust off the jean jacket.

iFlub
made by typing into an iPhone email or text message. See when you type
the phone automatically corrects spelling. This can be a good thing or
a bad thing. For instance when I posted yesterday the last word was
supposed to be Woot! But instead it turned it into Wood! I guess it
was just an iFlub.

I gotta wear shades.
mass by May. People are actually using the site. The news report for
NBC was aired in San Diego yesterday. Never let it be said that one
man can't make a difference. Other stuff even better than that is
happening behind the scenes. Stay tuned... In other news I shocked
Holly for our anniversary yesterday by giving us a trip to Jamaica,
since I just finished paying off my car.. That will be good to have
some time away from all this work and just relax. The Lord has blessed
me in so many ways. It is all Him! Wood!

6 Month Checkup
Well, I can't believe I have now been married for 6 months. It has
been good. It has been filled with fun and trials. I have found that
trials actually bring us closer together. The amazing thing is I love
Holly as much as I did when I said "I do". We are definitely happily
married. It has been interesting adjusting to each other. Trying to
continue dating and not let our work consume us too much is a
challenge, but I think we are beginning to figure it out. I was
talking last night about marriage and think I figured out how to have
a healthy marriage. The key is active participation in each others
lives. That is general and something for every person to figure out.
But when you figure it out you can show your love in even more ways. I
love you Holly. Happy Anniversary!

Hats
I have to realize I am still in control of the pace of the business.
Well, that and how much money I invest in it. If you want to see a web
ad for RideSearch go to http://www.env-econ.com
I am doing public relations, marketing, advertising and programming
all at the same time. I need more heads for all these hats :-)

Meanings
what does this mean? The rule of Texas weather seems to indicate that
it will snow within 2 weeks. We shall see. Sometime last night it
rained and thunder and lightning actually shook our bedroom. Talk
about close calls. Right as I was dreaming I was cleaning a swimming
pool and found all of these flowers in it. Now what can that mean?

Me on the News, Again.
Below is the footage from the news at 9 on Friday. A link to the news site can also be found here:
2/1 Free to be Green: Ride Sharing
It was a really good interview. Too bad no one watches the news at 9pm on a Friday, but it might get aired by affiliates. Time to spread the word some more. I think this is going to really take off! I have to try and not get a big head. That is a struggle but I do stay grounded with too much work to do.
