Wait for the New 80s
So I was watching the Beatles Help last night and thought about the
60s. I seem to remember growing up in the 80s how styles from the 50s
were the fad - like leather jackets, crew cuts and various throwback
clothes. Then the 90s came and people started wearing mop tops and
grunge was seen as a throwback to the 60s. Even the Beatles came out
with a new album. I used to think how the 90s music was bad, but now
that I think about it, it was almost as cool as the 60s. Now we are in
the 00s it is obvious that the 70s style is in fad. The haircuts are
huge and the music and times are almost as bad as the 70s. With
today's pop being equal to the disco of the 70s. So we all can see
what is coming next decade - the 80s fad. That is going to be so cool.
The guitar heroes of today will become the shredders of the 10s. Neon
will come back. So will long hair and mullets. I suppose I should find
my old Jams and dust off the jean jacket.
