Grab a Quarter

Well it feels like change is in the air. Someone catch a quarter. But
seriously, sometimes I have conflicts in my scheduling. I want to do
guys night tonight, but I promised a friend I'd go to a microsoft
conference that ends at 8. I might be able to duck out early and get
home at 8. Then I want to go see the Beatles Rain on Sunday but I
promised to do the message at the homeless. These are all conflicts
between what I want to do and what I should do. I think this will be
my last message to the homeless. The city is opening a new shelter and
everyone is going to be corraled there. I don't think they would let
me do a message in the building. Oh well, I guess I am going to what I
should do instead of what I want to do. Sorry Mr.T, Benz and Pepper I
guess responsibilty is a sign of becoming 33. Wow, I'm getting up there.

Deal Wars

This weekend was my last festival for a while. It was at the heard
museum in McKinney. It was pretty much a family affair. This time I
gave away almost all of the t-shirts. People become walking
advertisements when they wear them. It wasn't the best festival I have
done, but hearing "what a good idea" for the hundredth time feels
good. RideSearch has surpassed more of the competition. Go to google
and type in carpool. You will see us on the first page out of 3.3
million pages. Now that IMO is success. In other news, I have been
exhausted recently probably from all that is happening. I need to
start the ole exercise routine back up. This time I am just going to
walk. However I have been thinking about getting a bicycle. We'll see.
In other news I saw deal or no deal with all of the Star Wars
characters last night. I wonder how much money they paid for that one.
I just can't get that excited about selecting random numbers. It's
almost as if Howie held his hand behind his back and said "guess which
number I am holding up, just guess, it could be worth a million
dollars, after this commercial."

And Exhale..

This weekend will be my last green expo. I have probably talked to
over 500 people face to face since I started. Every expo has been
good. I am sure I have convinced some people to carpool. I have also
gotten better at interviews. I did an 11 minute radio interview
yesterday with an AM station in Illinois. I do notice that I am
forgetting to breathe when I am on the air. It turns my sentences into
one long exhale. I am working on that. I will be on AM 1360 here in
Dallas Saturday at 7AM and Sunday at 8AM. I was able to talk for 30
minutes about the joys of carpooling. I have an answer for any
question asked. It gives me a good feeling and makes me think
RideSearch can really take off, especially when I hear everyone say,
great idea.. I do wish I had the capital and time to agressively
market it. There are so many avenues for growth it is unbelievable.
For now I am sticking with what I do best, development, and will
probably spend the next year making it better than anything out there.
Considering I have overtaken almost all of the competition in my
market in just 3 months nothing is stopping me. Although I have to
take a step back every now and then. I am literally obsessed with
RideSearch. I think way too much about it. I think I will spend a week
doing nothing related to it. Ok, maybe a day... Time to inhale.
