Life
Well, where to begin. This week has seen some highs and lows. I have
been obsessed about RideSearch to the detriment of my health. Let me
start at the beginning. This week I knew I had set a deadline. June
26th I would release 2 websites, RideSearch 2.0 and RideSearch.biz.
What most people don't know is that I did it in 2 months of spare
time. It is a feat of development by any stretch of the imagination.
Most data driven sites take 6 months to a year to develop with a team
of people. The first RideSearch took 2 years of spare time. To do 2
websites in 2 months is unheard of. My plan was this, I had a ribbon
cutting ceremony at the Carrollton Chamber of Commerce. I invited the
press and read my press release. Fox 4 news showed up and filmed. I
also was on the WBAP news during the day. The problem was, I was
physically and mentally exhausted. I had gotten 4 hours sleep in a 48
hour period. I didn't know what I was saying half of the time. After
the conference was over someone asked how much it cost. Apparently I
never mentioned it was free. I did in the press release though. I then
went to the funeral that afternoon and was an impromptu pall bearer.
It was sad. I was trying my hardest to stay awake the whole day. I had
way too many diet cokes and was in a panic attack kind of state,
nerves plus exhaustion. I went to bed at 7pm and woke up this morning
at 7:30 and am still tired. In other news it looks like funding at my
job has been cut at the end of July. They want to keep me as a support
guy, but I don't know if I want to do that. Anyone know of any good
Venture Capital firms? The time is now. It is almost as if one door is
closing another one is opening.

Preshure
Misspelling words is fun. Anyway I need this stress releif as I have
15 tasks to do before my press conference next Thirsday. Let's hope I
git this solid. It is going to be a blast. Who knows crickets might
show up to ask me questions. I guess I'll have to learn their

Quik
This last Friday I appeared on ABC Evening news here in Dallas. I will
post it when I have time. Saturday I worked. That evening we went to a
party in downtown Dallas. Sunday I grilled out and had Holly's family
over for prime ribeye's - yummy. I am working nonstop to get
RideSearch 2.0 and my new business model out the door for a press
conference next Thursday. Tonight I will be on a syndicated radio show
in Austin, Buffalo and some other cities accross the USA. One of these
days I'll have time to enjoy this fame. Till then - everyone carpool!

Conquering Snacks
So my diet and exercise plan is working. The wii fit says I've lost 4
pounds since I started. I must admit it is much better than going to a
gym. Just to wake up, do around 20 minutes of cardio games and then
get dressed and go to work. As I am now conquering snacks I can safely
say that I feel full most of the time and am still losing weight. The
key is what I am eating for my snacks - sunflower seeds and low fat
beef jerky. Sunflower seeds are a great snack because they are high in
fiber- also I sometimes eat the shells - which makes your gut work
harder to digest, which keeps you regular, and they are
Low calorie - which means your body has to burn as much calories as
you eat. The same is true for the beef jerky except instead of fiber
it has protein - which fills you up and stregthens your muscles. Now I
am munching all day, which means my stomach is constantly processing,
but in a most efficient manner to where it needs energy from fat just
to burn the food. There is one other aspect - salt. It does raise
blood pressure, which is a concern, but it also makes you thirsty all
day, which means I am drinking lots of water, which means I am losing
some water weight as well. All in all these combinations seem to work.
If I loose 50 pounds I'll have to write a book. For now it looks like
I have almost conquered snacks.

Rong
Well I got a couple of things wrong this morning. First the radio
station was not in Columbus, it was in Columbia, Missouri. Second AT&T
decided to not ring my phone when they called and over 1 hour later
there was a voicemail that showed up asking where I was. Long story
short, the interview did not happen and I was glad cause I would have
messed up talking about Columbus. Holly just called me and said the
garage door is off its tracks and she is stuck and can't go to class.
I told her if she is bored to write my monthly newsletter. Is that
wrong? Anyways, she is a good wife. We are both looking forward to our
1 year anniversary trip.

In other news
So this weekend Holly and I hung out around the house and on Saturday
we went to a wedding. It had good food and cake so I must say it was a
good wedding. We are taking a haitus from the homeless for a little
bit to help each other, but we will be back. In other news I will be
on FM tomorrow morning for a Columbus, Ohio station 93.9. I also may
have another interview with a Pheonix AM station. This would make
interviews 16 and 17 for me. Maybe I should just start a radio show
of my own. I know I would have a lot of material. In other news there
will be a ribbon cutting ceremony in a couple of weeks at the
Carrollton Chamber of Commerce for RideSearch 2.0, provided I can
finish by then. In other news I have conquered breakfast - meaning I
am now completely healthy in that regards - peanut butter and sugar
free grape jelly sanwich on whole grain toast with a low fat cheese
stick and a high fiber V8 juice with a spoon of flax seed in it.
Before I tackle lunch and dinner I am going to tackle snacks. On the
healthy menu: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and low fat beef jerky.
No fructose corn syrup at all. Also, I am now getting on the wii fit
in the morning. I am up to 22 minutes and am 42 years old. Talk about
shocking. I think this is all working!

Birthday Haircut
So one of the things I did on my birthday was get a haircut. Woopee
you say, but this was no ordinary haircut. The guy who did the cutting
must have been a comedian. I don't know how it happened but there I
was sitting on the chair hearing that you see dough nuts when the
pillsbury dough boy bends over. Some jokes were very funny and others
fell flat. I wondered about those scissors next to my scalp though.
What if I was to impale myself while laughing hysterically? He said
jokes the whole time. I wonder if he was off his rocker a little bit
or actually a comedian. I'll have to go back and find out.

Birthweekend Update
This weekend was mine and Holly's birthday. On Friday we went to a
club where my coworker's band was playing. I brought my guitar and got
up on stage and played "Pride and Joy" with them. While I was soloing
some drunk guy comes over to me and says,"hey man, play some pink
floyd". I then said I wasn't actually in the band. I hadn't played on
stage since the wedding last year. I think I have lost a step. Once
things calm down I should be getting back to playing. On Saturday I
made some homemade ice cream as my sister got me an ice cream maker
for my birthday. It turned out pretty good, but it was hard work.
Saturday night we went to the married peoples Wii tournament at
church. It was bowling, and fun but I didn't win. Sunday we went to
church/ Sunday school and then had a birthday party that night at Dave
and Buster's. All in all an eventful weekend. Life is good. In other
news I signed on at my current job for another year so I can continue
to fund RideSearch privately, although investors might be a good idea
considering its success. We shall see...
