fyi - the newscast will air on Friday on CW33

The interview went well. The questions were good, a lot about how people are unsure of carpooling and how people don't want to give up their freedoms. I think it was balanced. I was a little nervous so I was loud and I am exhausted so I think my eyes were red. We'll see how they edit it. It is fun though. The reporter was like - I don't this will work here, but maybe in other places. That was a little off-putting, but I have heard that before. I usually come up with - we drive SUVs here in Texas and that actually increases our real cost of gas, so gas is actually higher than we think. I found someone who uses the site and she was also interviewed. So I think it went well. I am staying tuned for Friday!

On TV Again!

Tomorrow(Wednesday) I will be on the news on the CW33 news at 9pm on
their Living Green segment. The way I see it I have used up about 2
minutes of fame so I have 13 left to go. Unless you count my old bands
album...

Wu

An interesting weekend. Van Halen was ok. It was only David Lee Roth.
I figure their next show will be with Sammy Hagar. In other news, hold
on to your servers as RideSearch is going to be free..supported by
ads. What else did I do? I am making RideSearch for the iPhone. It is
a good learning experience. Stay tuned for those press releases.

Marketing for Noobs

Now that my site is up and running I am learning all about marketing.
I am facing a hurdle with budgets of course, being a one man show. Ah
but I can dream - billboards, radio ads, tv commercials, magazine ads,
bus ads and any other kind of ad would do the trick. Back in reality I
am attempting to think small. What has the most effectiveness for the
cheapest price? I am doing google and yahoo ads, but I still need
something more... Hmm, I will figure it out. In other news I am going
to see Van Halen this weekend. That should be fun.

Movie Weekend

This weekend was a good long one, since MLK is a federal holiday. On
Friday Holly and I went and saw the movie "Juno". It was a girlie
movie and I really was not entertaining. It is about this teenager who
gets pregnant. I could barely understand her lingo. Anyways, a big 0
out of 5 stars. Saturday I got some much needed sleep. Then we went
for steak. That was good. Sunday morning we went to the House of Blues
gospel hour. Holly loved it and was pulled up on stage dancing. She is
wild and cute :-) Sunday night we watched the game. Monday I went
clothes shopping and we saw Alvin. It was cute. I'd give it a 2 out of
5. Anyways, I am preparing for another TV interview. This time on the
WB news. I wonder if I could get on Smallville? LOL I could set up
Clark with a carpool.

Weak Ends Update

Well this weekend I had to work on Saturday so it didn't feel like
much of a weekend. Friday we went to a banquet for the church kids
class volunteers. I am sure there is some kind of a genetic tie
between teachers and "skits". In the business world not many events
have people bust out into skits. On Sunday I did the message and Tivod
the game. Speaking of the game, it was good that the Cowboys won it
and Tony Romo didn't choke at the end and throw an interception in the
endzone. Is it just me or did it look like Flozell quit playing in the
second half and would let his guy go through. Let's not forget all the
dropped passes to that led to the Cowboys victory. I look forward to
them winning the Superbowl for the 50th year.

And RideSearch Takes Off!

Another announcement - Today at 4pm and possibly 5pm and 6pm on NBC5i here in Dallas, I will be on the news. I was interviewed this morning about it. It was a good interview. I will be tivoing it and will put up the footage on youtube for all to see. Stay Tuned! I am amazed just at how amazing this all is. From an idea, to a product, and hopefully to making a difference in the nation, I am truly humbled by all that God has dealt me.

Lazy Sunday

So I have been taking it easy. I am really forced to since I have this terrible head cold. I guess with all of the personal pressure to get my site up I have decreased my immune system. Now that I don't really have to work much on the site my body has decided to get sick. Anyways, TV is a good time waster.

I am watching "Back to the Future". I seem to remember a lot of time incosistencies in the movie. It is a fun movie though. Last night Holly and I went and saw "I am Legend" - the movie where Will Smith is a scientist who is immune to a virus that wipes out all of humanity. It has zombies in it and reminds me a lot of the old movie "Night of the Living Dead" It was pretty good, but lacked side plots. I was sick though and was sneezing in the movie theater. Ah, I bet people were scared of me.. But for a fun sci-fi movie I'd say if you don't expect anything you would be surprised. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

How was your weekend?
