Ankle Identifies Alien Baby Update

So this Friday night was kind of a stay at home night. I even got on the treadmill and did it to get my heartrate up to 156 - the recommended rate by my doctor. The problem was, after 7 minutes my ankle started hurting and I had to get off. I sometimes forget that I broke my ankle twice in college playing basketball. I remember when I wore a cast for like 2 months. It was itchy. I got it casted by the Texas Tech Medical School. When I got it taken off at the base hospital they were like,"who did this? it is all wrong." Needless to say it never healed right, which is why I still walk a little wierd, and the Texas Tech Medical School will forever be called the "quack shack". So I know I need to put a brace on it before I exercise. I was also thinking about inventing a counterweight for treadmills. The idea is you strap on a belt that has a rope tied to it to like 100 pounds. Then you have a bar above your head that you put the weight over it and it goes to the other side of the bar. It then lifts you up and makes you 100 pounds lighter. Then you can run on the treadmill and have less impact to your joints but still get the cardio and heart rate increases. I call it the "weightless harness". Eh, it is a good idea but I am no mechanical engineer.

On Saturday we went to Cheesecake Factory and saw Monsters vs Aliens in 3-D. It was pretty good. The 3-D was excellent. Although I admit I fell asleep towards the end of it. I would give it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. And on my movie scale that makes it the best movie I have seen in a long time. On Saturday I also started to straighten out this identity theft thing that happened to mom. Apparently her next door neighbor has something to do with it and mom is actually ok with it. That drives me crazy knowing that they stole from her and mom says it is ok cause the neighbor had an abusive ex-boyfriend who "demanded" money from her. The whole thing is a touchy situation because her neighbor does take care of her by making her dinner and checking her blood sugar and her husband keeps the car working and moves her cactus. And mom refuses to let anyone outside help her like meals on wheels or something. I will be submiting a statement to the credit card company saying mom is not responsible for the debt and this person is. Then I will be done with it. Let them sort it all out.

Anyways, life goes on. Holly is getting bigger. She is 16 weeks now but we won't find out the gender until the next sonogram which will be when she is 21 weeks along, even though we know they would be able to tell right now. We got the band room painted white so that we can paint it when we find out the gender. Holly got some maternity clothes and we are talking about getting things like carseats and the crib on craigslist. I think around 7 months is when we will have a baby shower. Hopefully we will get some useful stuff in it. Having a baby is expensive nowadays. Thank God I got medical insurance. Anyways, how was your weekend?

Comments:
Friday night was the usual. I worked from 8-12 on Saturday. That afternoon, we drove to WF for a large family gathering. Saturday night, the wife and I went to the casino, but didn't do that well. On Sunday, I spoke to Jeff C for 5 minutes....not much new there.
