Get an A on a Stress Test
So I sleep in through my alarm today. Luckily I already had requested time off to go to the cardio doctor since I have an appointment at 11:30. First let me setup the story. I have for years been getting 10-15 calls a day on my home phone. Usually they are hangups and charities wanting money. I think it relates back to when I had "yesitis" and said yes to anyone that asked. So these past couple of months I have turned off my answering machine and set it to fax. It actually worked and now we only get 2-4 calls a day on the phone. So I get in this morning and the lady says "we tried to contact you, the doctor had a death in the family and can't do it. We will need to reschedule for the end of next month." So I am thinking this is ridiculous. So I get on my iPhone and type in "cardiologist" and it pops up with someone in the same building. Since I was already in a medical center so I go walking down the hall to the plano heart center and they said they can see me tomorrow from 11 to 1. So now I get to take tomorrow morning off as well to go this appointment. Right away they seemed more professional. I am going to do a nuclear stress test where they inject dye into me and I run on a treadmill and then they scan me and get a 3d image of my heart. Then they will tell me the results. That should be neat. I hope I'll be cleared to play softball that evening. We shall see.
