Dream within a Movie

So this weekend was a movie weekend. On Friday Holly's mom came and watched Brennon while we went to go see Inception. It was a pretty good movie. I like sci-fi so I could get into it. However, understanding what was happening was a little hard to follow. It was all about people jumping into other people's dreams. It reminded me of the early 80's movie Dreamscape. It also reminded me of the Edgar Allen Poe poem Dream Within A Dream. I wrote a song about that poem in my first band, Red Krovvy. It was one of my better songs. Had it been famous it could have been on the soundtrack. Anyways the movie was good even though I always get Matt Damon and Leo Dicaprio mixed up.

On Saturday I continued the movie watching by watching a show called "The Box". It was another sci-fi about an alien that gives people a box. If they push the button on the box they get a million dollars and someone they don't know would die. It made me think about how some people think more for money than for others. The next movie was a drama about a holocaust boy who is friends with a german boy. It was better than shnyders list, although I never liked that movie. That made me think about hatred. Hatred is the worst thing that happens to mankind. We in America need to be thankful we don't have as much hatred as other parts of the world. Are we really doing enough to stop hatred? I have a feeling that whole mosque two blocks away from the rubble indicates we do have alot of hatred in America, it is just pent up. To make the day seem not depressing we watched Annie. The sun will come out tomorrow. That is the story of a rags to riches girl. I remember when I was a kid my sister got us to see that movie and I got us to see Return of the Jedi. That was when we were leaving Alaska. Ah, memories.

Sunday Holly slept in after taking care of Brennon and I went to Sunday School. I announced a pool party for next Saturday. It should be fun. I ate there and then went to mom's church. I told her the good news that we are now under contract for selling the house. Hopefully there won't be any snags. After this I may never go back to Wichita Falls again. Woo hoo. Maybe I might go one day years from now to show Brennon where I grew up. Who knows. Mom is doing better. She is not as sick and I can see her as very cognitive. She just has some memory difficulties, but has all her wits about her. I think that is just getting old. She helps out people there read their church programs. Anyways, I ended up watching the Dallas Cowboys win. I am glad football has started. I am a fan.
