The Flare is Coming
This weekend went too quick. I wish I had more time off. Now that the temp is above 105 even walking the dog is hard. Friday night we went bowling while Holly's mom watched Brennon. I remember when prices were $3 a lane. Nowadays they are $30 a lane for an hour. I guess that makes you bring people to offset the costs. I think my top score was a 120. That is a far cry from the 227 I got on the Tech Bowling Team. I think that skill I lost. Actually I never had it. I just got lucky 6 times out of the 100s of games I bowled at college.
On Saturday I did take Brennon swimming. He enjoys it. I just have to lather the sunscreen on him. Of course I hold on to him at all times, although the occaisonal toss up in the air makes him laugh. Saturday night we watched "Extract" made by the guy who did office space. It was ok, not great but not bad. Sunday was a busy day. Holly watched the 4 year olds in Sunday School while I stayed at home and took Brennon to the 11am service. I went to sunday school and brought the donuts. Sunday evening Holly, Brennon and I went to mom's place and ate at her cafeteria. Brennon is a star of the home with all of the old ladies gawking at him. He loves the attention, although he was a bit crabby.
Last night the power decided to fluctuate in our house. The power turned off at 4AM. I couldn't breathe because my sleep apnea machine stopped working. When the power turns off everything in the house starts beeping. The smoke alarms, the old alarm systems, even the refrigerator. Of course I don't know how to stop it from beeping. So I was up for a while. Eventually the power turned on again and I was able to sleep. I hope my computers are ok. I think it is a result of the recent solar flare that is going to hit us directly tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more electrical disturbances. So be on alert. That is all.
