Gettin Old

So this weekend was eventful. On Friday I had the maids come over and clean the house. One of the great things about having cameras in the house is I can watch them on my iPhone. I can always see how they are doing. The place looked great. Then on Saturday we had our Sunday School swim party. This time it was a pot luck so Holly and I didn't have to do much. The house was clean and the food was brought. We had around 30 people in the house, half of them kids. They all loved the pool. We had pizza and then they got in the pool again.

Sunday we had a long day. Holly had to teach the 4 year olds at Sunday School so I was put in charge of Brennon. Of course I got there late. I find with a baby you have to prepare farther in advance. You need to pack up the diaper bag and make sure he has food. Then you have to get the stroller and put it in the car. All the while you have to watch Brennon and put him somewhere safe while you do these tasks. I can see what alot of people just stay home. Anyways, we went to Sunday School. Then I went to mom's to drop off some stuff for her.

Then it was off to the country to my brother's place. It takes about an hour to get to his house. It was a surprise birthday party for him. He is doing well. I went swimming in his pool as the heat is just too much. I feel old too because his kids have all grown a foot since I have seen them. Even Khai, the youngest, has started walking. Brennon played with him a little, but was mostly cranky. Later that night we drove home and I had to stop by my mom's to turn her tv on. Then Holly went to spend the night at her moms. Her mom is having Roux-en-Y surgery today. I think that is where they bypass the stomach completely. Holly is there at the hospital with her and will take her home when it is done. I think it is a one day safe laproscopic thing, but it is the recovery time that is most important.

So a lot is happening. Tomorrow Holly starts school and then it is back to me waking up solo. I have found during the summer that the best alarm clock is having Brennon put on top of you. My fatherly instincts wake me up as I watch him and make sure he is safe. I guess I am going to have to program the house to scream at me and flash all of the lights on and off. Time to dust off my idea of the Shock Socks and get it working. More tests...
