It was a normal Sunday.
I brought the bologna and cheese,
You brought the chips.
Together we spread the good news
And gave the homeless food
And life saving tips.

Years later as I look back,
I can see that God put us together.
No one can see that as much as I do.
How someone so similiar,
And so familiar to me,
Was made before I knew you.

The ties of teaching were bread into me.
The ties of temperance were part of my style,
And you had these same ties from when you were born
And I know you made God smile.

And now as we have gotten older and wiser,
I can surely see.
That God's plans for us include more
Than we can ever be.

To have a family that is strong.
To spread our love to the masses.
To be kind to one another all the day long.
To be a member of the Basses.

I have a child who is strong to me
I have a family that I am surely proud
With you in my home and Brennon in my heart
All of these days will make me bowed.

I can surely see and I can surely tell,
That your love for me is real.
That your love for our family is forever,
And that you can always feel.

So to Holly, my love, I want you to know
That I will always love your way.
I will always love your heart
