A Wedding Story Part 1

Ah, where to start, on this magical story entitled "A Wedding Story" I guess I will start at the beginning. Holly and I have been consumed with the wedding ever since I proposed. As you know I am a programmer and my thoughts are of course logical. My logic has been using only computers so planning and programming has been rather easy. This wedding has taught me new harder skill: "Logistics". The science of coordination of many people, places and events to get a desired outcome. Logistics are so much harder to do, especially with a wedding: 11 groomsmen, 11 bridesmaids, 3 ushers, 4 children, out of town guests, family members, a rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, reception, tuxes, band, photographer, videographer, slide show, songs and honeymoon. It was so crazy and stressful I became frantic. But the overall purpose was to get married and in the end that was all I really wanted. The great thing is that everything was a complete success.

On Friday the 10th I decided to take the day off. I just had too much stuff to do. First I had to pick up my tux. Then I had to fix up my guitar for the show. Then I had to get a haircut. Then I had to get the projector ready to take to the rehearsal dinner. And I still had to pack for the honeymoon. I didn't have time to do that so I did it on Saturday. All the time I am trying to listen to radio because Holly had a message for me. I kept on missing it though and was distraught. As I was driving to the Church I called up the radio station and told them they better play it cause I hadn't heard it. I still hadn't heard it by the time I got to the chapel. So in the chapel I pulled out my laptop, booted it up, connected to the church's wifi, went to their live broadcast on their website and low and behold they had just started playing it when I clicked. I had finally heard it and was so relieved. It was going to be a good wedding.

The rehearsal was fun, although I was worried no one was paying attention. I had to practice the kiss a couple of times to get it right :) Everyone was looking forward to the rehearsal dinner at Rafain's - the best restaurant in town. Stay tuned for the rest of the story. ..
